Shimano Curado 200HG K Bait Cast Reel
A longtime favourite amongst Australian anglers, the Curado K series represents the next chapter in the iconic Curado legacy, featuring the latest in Shimano's innovative MicroModule gearing and X-Ship for smooth rotation, combined with the new SVS Infinity braking system for enhanced casting performance.
To withstand the toughest saltwater environments, Shimano has incorporated a specially plated pinion gear, combined with a breakwater wall and drainage port to provide superior protection against corrosion.
Featuring Shimano's new compact body design, the Curado K is 10% smaller in both length and width when compared to the previous model. This is further enhanced by the metal Hagane Body to provide the reel with added durability and rigidity.
Available in a 200 size in both right and left hand models and fitted with 6+1 Shielded A-RB bearings. Finished in slick matte black and packed with the very best in Shimano technology, the Curado K is more powerful, more durable and offers supreme casting performance.

By supporting the pinion gear on both ends with our S-ARB bearings and integrating a bigger drive gear, Shimano increased the gearing efficiency and power. This results in a fishing reel with ultra-light handle rotation, giving a perfect rotation even under heavy loads.
HAGANE Body means this reel has a high rigidity and zero twist. The body stiffness and impact resistance virtually eliminates body flexing. The result transforms the anglers actions directly into cranking power. It's efficiency through strength.
Shimano New Zealand provides a TEN YEAR WARRANTY on all Shimano fishing reels, against defects in materials and/or faulty workmanship.
Carbon Interfusion 4 (valence electrons) is a graphite body material that has been reinforced with carbon fibre. Lighter than Magnesium, yet strong enough to cope with the stresses of saltwater fishing.
These bearings have been through the same process as our A-RB bearings, but feature shields on both sides of the bearings that reduce the possibility of salt or sand inhibiting the bearings rotation.
The Super Free bearing-supported pinion gear system (SF) was designed to eliminate friction on the spool shaft during the cast. In standard baitcasting reels, when the clutch bar is pressed down, the pinion gear is freed and can actually drag on the spool shaft, creating friction and limiting the length of the cast. With SF, the pinion gear is supported by a ball bearing
